Seeing how the market is, its not great for everyone, budgets are being cut, people working from home to save costs both personally and to the business. So surely, now more than ever we need to have gatherings, sharing ideas, showing what services and products you offer the market. It’s those watercooler chats that have changed the shape of business and even as far to say society as we know it.

So, knowing we need to meet, talk, have fun – whatever the incentive, how can we do this within budget?

Venue: A significant part of the budget along with AV (more on that next). Consider more basic venues, like empty sports halls or off-season spaces. Also, think about location—local venues may reduce accommodation costs. Additionally, look for venues offering discounts on multi-year contracts (3-5 years).

AV: A trusted partner is essential for frank discussions on “what’s necessary vs. nice-to-have.” If you’re not working with us, here are some tips: Can setup and teardown be sped up to save on venue costs (e.g., Rapid Racks, lights on the floor)? How can tech demands on crew be minimized while maintaining the wow factor? For instance, using wireless mics for all speakers can eliminate the need for additional tech staff and reduce confusion.
